This in-office procedure typically takes just 45 minutes to complete. You will see immediate results and have minimal recovery time after the procedure. The InstaLift® is performed under local anesthesia, making the procedure nearly painless.

During a Silhouette InstaLift® procedure, sutures with bidirectionally oriented cones (which gently grip connective tissue beneath the skin) reposition and elevate the skin on your face. The dissolvable sutures hold the skin in an elevated position and contour facial volume. As the sutures are absorbed, they stimulate collagen growth, which helps prolong the lift effect on sagging jowls and adds volume to the mid-portion of the cheeks.

Patients can expect little to no downtime after a Silhouette InstaLift®. Mild swelling, bruising, and soreness for a few days are normal. You can apply makeup and resume your daily activities within a day or two. However, you should avoid strenuous exercise for one to two weeks, and Dr. Langdon may give you other aftercare instructions for optimal results.

A Silhouette InstaLift® produces a more youthful-looking face by lifting the skin in the jowls and lower cheeks. This improves facial contours and can smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. You’ll see immediate results, which typically last up to 18 months.

Because the Poly-L-lactic sutures used during a Silhouette InstaLift® stimulate collagen production, the treatment has long-lasting benefits that can improve your skin’s health and elasticity. Proper skin care can help maintain the results of your thread lift. Dr. Langdon may also recommend pairing Silhouette InstaLift® with dermal fillers if you have facial volume loss.

Patients experiencing facial sagging, volume loss, or other signs of aging but not ready for a surgical facelift may be good candidates for a Silhouette InstaLift®. This treatment is best for mild to moderate skin sagging.
