What are the Benefits of Renuvion®?
October 27, 2021
Age isn’t the only thing that can contribute to skin laxity. Women who’ve been pregnant or people who’ve succeeded in losing significant weight also struggle with loose skin that can be emotionally distressing. Dr. Robert Langdon, director and founder of The Langdon Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery, can tighten skin in many body areas with Renuvion®.
How Does Renuvion® Work?
Renuvion® is a breakthrough technology that uses radio frequency (RF) energy combined with helium gas to produce a precision plasma beam that contracts sub-dermal fibrous tissues. Although Renuvion® isn’t a surgery, it does require tiny skin incisions in the treatment area to insert the plasma probe.
From there, the plasma beam reacts with connective tissue beneath your skin to contract the tissues for tighter, firmer contours. It can be performed as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with complementary procedures, such as liposuction. The plasma beam is cooler than other ultrasound or radiofrequency laser procedures—100º vs 300º-600º—for less physical trauma to the tissues. The skin contracts in real time, although more tightening will occur after the treatment.
Am I a Good Candidate for Renuvion®?
If you’re concerned about loose skin, whether due to aging or other physical factors like pregnancy or weight loss, Renuvion® may be able to help. It’s a fantastic alternative to more invasive surgical procedures that can leave significant scarring. Contact The Langdon Center to get started.
What are the Benefits of Renuvion®?
Minimal Scarring
Renuvion® results in minimal scarring compared to surgical skin tightening procedures such as abdominoplasty. This is particularly advantageous to patients who are dealing with skin laxity due to pregnancy or weight loss. No one wants to have a long scar around the arms, thighs, or across the hips like with a tummy tuck if they can avoid it. With Renuvion®, you can.
Immediate Results
You see natural results almost immediately that also continue to improve. Because skin contracts in real-time in reaction to the plasma beam, you’ll be able to see tighter skin right away. Additionally, Renuvion® enhances collagen production, which continues tightening and improving your skin’s elasticity for 6-9 months.

Optimal Skin Tightening
Renuvion® produces precision skin tightening in hard-to-treat areas, like the jawline and neck. There are plenty of serums or creams that profess to tighten skin and improve the collagen fiber network, but Renuvion® produces unmistakable results from the inside out, where no serum can go.
Minimally-Invasive
The procedure is less invasive than many other treatments and has a faster recovery. Only a tiny incision is necessary for the Renuvion® tip’s insertion into the treatment area; it’s so small, it doesn’t even require sutures to close. The tissues are also treated more gently and at lower temperatures for less trauma, resulting in a few days of downtime rather than weeks with surgery.
Long-Lasting Results
You achieve long-lasting results, up to 2½ years in most cases. While aging cannot be stopped, it can certainly be slowed down with Renuvion® skin tightening. Improved collagen production gives your skin a better support network, so your skin stays tighter and more youthful-looking for longer.
With Renuvion® at The Langdon Center, you can restore your abdomen from the effects of pregnancy. You can improve your skin’s elasticity after weight loss. For patients seeking more delicate correction around the face and neck, you can even stave off the need for a future facelift with Renuvion®. All you have to lose is loose skin!
Great experience and great results
