How to Obtain a Natural-Looking Eyelift

October 14, 2019

Do your eyes make you look old and tired? If so, you may have considered blepharoplasty or cosmetic eyelid surgery. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to resolve drooping of the upper eyelid that occurs due to excess skin, loose muscle, and/or excess fat tissue. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty reduces “puffy” bulges or prominent bags in this area that result from excess orbital fat.

Although many patients are great candidates for eyelid surgery, some can enjoy improvement of the eyelid area without undergoing a surgical procedure. If you have a mild case of upper lid drooping or lower lid fat pockets, Natural Eyelid Lift may be a great option. Keep reading to learn more about what it is.

What is a Natural Eyelid Lift?

During a Natural Eyelid Lift, your own fat tissue is grafted to the area surrounding your eyes. Dr. Langdon will use a small syringe to collect fat cells from another area of your body. He’ll then purify the fat tissue and gently place it in and around the upper and lower eyelids and the outer eyebrow area. If you don’t have too much excess skin in the upper eyelids, a Natural Eyelid Lift may be all that’s necessary to give you your desired results.

If you have mildly bulging fat pockets in your lower eyelids, a Natural Eyelid Lift can even out the contours enough to the point that you do not need to undergo lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Because every patient is unique, you can expect Dr. Langdon to design a unique treatment plan tailored to your aesthetic goals.

Benefits of a Natural Eyelid Lift

There are a variety of benefits you can enjoy with a Natural Eyelid Lift. First and foremost, the procedure is performed via local anesthesia so you won’t have to receive general anesthesia. Also, there won’t be any artificial or temporary fillers used so you can enjoy natural, lifelong results. By undergoing this procedure, you’ll be left with beautiful eyes that make you appear younger and more alive.

I was an eye model in my 20’s so when my lids began to droop I knew I had to do something about it. I researched extensively and found Dr. Langdon to be the best Doctor to touch my eyes. I drive over an hour each way to get to his office. It’s been totally worth it. I am so happy with my eyes. My eyes look 20 years younger.
