How Much is a Brow Lift?
January 24, 2022
The forehead and brow area can often show sun damage and signs of aging before the rest of the face. Dr. Robert Langdon at The Langdon Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery performs a brow lift to make these areas smoother and more lifted.

What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift surgically corrects signs of aging such as sagging skin in the forehead and brow area, wrinkles across the forehead or between the brows, and overhanging skin that makes the upper eyelid area look tired. Although a traditional brow lift requires a large incision, Dr. Langdon uses a less invasive lateral technique that uses much smaller incisions that are “hidden” near the hairline of the upper forehead.
How Much is a Brow Lift?
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that a brow lift costs $3900 on average. This cost can vary depending on where you live, your provider, and how complex your procedure will be. For an accurate estimate, Dr. Langdon recommends a consultation.
How Does a Brow Lift Work?
Dr. Langdon performs a brow lift using a simolified subcutaneous technique. This method, although more superficial than traditional surgery, provides a more effective and natural-appearing lift to the eyebrows The brow lift will lift the skin of the forehead to smooth away lines and wrinkles. It will also lift the brows and create a new position that gives you a more “lifted” and alert appearance.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?
If you have forehead lines and sagging eyebrows, as well as loose skin in the upper eyelid area, you may be a good candidate for a brow lift. If your biggest concern comes from sagging eyelids rather than sagging brows, we may recommend a different procedure called a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift). Some people have both procedures together or at different times.
What is Recovery Like From a Brow Lift?
You can expect some bruising, soreness, and swelling after the procedure. This may appear on the cheeks, around the eyes, and on the forehead. It will fade within about seven to ten days. Most people have recovered enough to resume most normal activities after a week.
What Results Can I Expect from a Brow Lift?
You can expect to see your results as soon as the swelling starts to decrease, although it can take several weeks for swelling to subside all the way. You will see lifted skin on the forehead and a raised, contoured brow that makes your eyes look brighter and more wide awake. You will also see fewer expression lines and wrinkles around the upper face, and these will stay away much longer than they would with injectable treatments.
Dr. Langdon (and staff) makes me feel comfortable in consultation and during treatments, which was my biggest worry before going to the practice. Dr. Langdon is skillful and knowledgable. One suggestion would be to consider providing patients with a bit more care instructions and information on the treatment.
