3 Tips for Breast Reduction Recovery
May 7, 2024
If you have large breasts, you may feel self-conscious, worry about finding appropriate clothes, or struggle with back and neck pain. Breast reduction brings your large breasts into balance with your body. Many women find this procedure life-changing and feel like it has freed them from a frustrating burden.
What is Breast Reduction?
Large breasts are a common problem that affects women of all shapes and sizes. Breast reduction is the only effective solution to the issues caused by large breasts. Fortunately, many women make good candidates for a No-Scar breast lift. This procedure lets them achieve their goal of smaller, more proportionate breasts with a minimally invasive procedure.
How Does No-Scar Breast Reduction Work?
Traditional breast reductions require at least one incision under the breast and sometimes several large incisions. A No-Scar breast reduction uses a few tiny incisions to remove excess breast volume with liposuction. It provides improved shape and appearance by removing fatty tissue. Dr. Langdon uses a local anesthetic to numb the breasts before removing fat with a micro-cannula.

Three Tips for Breast Reduction Recovery
Recovery time after No-Scar breast reduction is minimal compared to traditional surgical procedures. You will have some swelling in your breasts for a few days. Most people return to work in two to three days. Here are some tips to make sure you are back to your routine as soon as possible:
Rest and Recover
Soreness and swelling will be mild, but you should spend some time resting to ensure they go away as quickly as possible. Spend the first day or two after treatment relaxing as much as needed. Resume activities as you feel comfortable and listen to your body.
Prepare Your Home
Because you may feel a bit tired and not much like cooking for a day or two after your procedure, you may want to stock a few pre-made meals in your fridge. Some people may be ready to cook a full meal immediately after treatment, while others may prefer a break.
Pick Out Clothes
Lifting your arms over your head may feel somewhat tight for a few days after your procedure. If you find this uncomfortable, it may help to have some shirts that button up the front. Some people may feel fine putting on their usual clothes.
My life was changed forever the day I walked in to Dr. Langdon’s office. Liposuction for breast reduction was the best thing I have ever done – I should have done it a decade ago! I went from a 40dd that was too small to a 34 B and from size 2x tops to a medium. My surgery was also a catalyst to losing the 80 lbs I had been trying to lose. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs it.
